The Montauk collection includes correspondence (1828-1918); financial and business records, including land deeds (1870s-1920); Anna Larrabee's writings (1870s-1920); account books (1881-1912); letterpress books (1863-1911); a photocopy of a diary (1849-1858); speeches (1886-1910); House and Senate files (1868-1880s); clippings (1880s-1920) and weather records (1876-1965). One reel of film contains biographical materials and correspondence from the Larrabee papers (Ms9) at the State Historical Society of Iowa, Iowa City.
